How to Equip Your Home Gym for Less Than $100

All my clients know that I’ not a “machine girl”. I’m rather an “equipment minimalist” because that allows my to workout anywhere, even in the tiniest hotel room.

Today I want to share my favorite fitness equipment that you can use when exercising in your living room, home gym, or in your yard.

#1 Mini Bands

If I had to choose ONE tool that I would have to work with for the rest of my life, I would choose a mini band. You can use it to train every part of your body and for hundreds of exercises.

In this video, I use the band to work my shoulder, arms and upper back:

#2 Pilates Circle

The Pilates circle was originally created by Joseph Pilates. Same as with the mini band, you can use the Pliates circle to tone almost every muscle of your body.

In this video I use the Pilates circle to strengthen my upper body while working on my core at the same time:

#3 Yoga Mat

Investing in a decent yoga mat is essential. One day I bought a “cheaper” mat – it fell apart after just three workouts. I would also opt for a non-slip mat, so you don’t lose grip when things start getting sweaty.

#4 Exercise tube with handles

I use these exercises mainly for upper body exercises. I would invest in a green, red, and blue band, so you can adjust the exercise intensity depending on the exercise as well as your strength levels.

In this video, I use the band to strengthen my back and my shoulders:

That’s pretty much all you need for a good workout. If you want to further upgrade your home gym, you can add some kettle bells or dumbbells.

Let’s feel the burn!
